Well, here is the first of the new releases this week (I am hoping to release another supplement by the end of the week).
The Wings in the Void expansion is a small supplement for the rules, adding four new fighters to the game.
The two alien fighters have been sitting in a folder on my PC for a while now, and after chatting on my Discord server about some ideas for new fighters, I thought it was time to incorporate these into the rules.
So, what is included in these rules?
- Interceptor: This is a new super fighter with the primary role of destroying enemy bombers. Interceptors are faster than normal fighters and more heavily armed, making them perfect for taking on any enemy fighters and bombers they encounter in combat.
- Heavy Bomber: Unlike normal bombers, this heavy bomber is equipped with defensive weapons against enemy fighters. What sets this bomber apart is its versatile load-out options. It can be configured for various roles: heavy bombing, shooting normal ship lasers, or launching torpedoes. This bomber offers the right tools for any job.
- Bio-Alien Fighter: The first of the bio-alien fighters, these are fast and deadly, fitting perfectly within the bio-fleet.
- Bio-Alien Fighter/Bomber: Although not as fast as the bio-fighter, this versatile craft is an excellent all-rounder. It can handle armoured ships as easily as it can fighters. Its bio-explosive spores can severely damage a huge capital ship or destroy an enemy fighter with equal efficiency.
So, that’s what this new small supplement contains. It is available for free on Wargames Vault.
Hopefully, you will find the new fighters and bombers lots of fun in your games of Stars & Lasers.
