It’s been a little while since my last update—far longer than intended if I’m honest—but that doesn’t mean nothing has been happening behind the scenes.
In reality, this has been one of those periods where progress has been steady rather than highly visible, with several projects all moving forward in parallel.
Stars & Lasers – Battlestar Galactica Add-on
A good portion of my recent time has gone into developing a new supplement for Stars & Lasers that has been asked for on the Little Wargaming Worlds Discord server.
This add-on is designed to allow players to recreate Battlestar Galactica–style engagements using the core rules, with additional mechanics layered on top to better capture the feel of fleet actions, carriers, and fighter engagements.
I am having to work on the huge number of kinetic weapons, missiles and of course fighters that the ships in Battlestar Galactica have and trying to get them to work in Stars & Lasers.
It’s still very much a work in progress, but the core ideas are now in place and it’s starting to take shape as a proper extension to the system. This will add to the Star Wars: Armada and the Star Trek add-on that have already been done.
Fantasy Battle Rules – Cards are now Complete
Work has also continued on my Fantasy Battle rules, and I’ve now reached a solid milestone: all of the cards are complete.
This includes:
- Unit cards
- Character upgrades
- Unit upgrade cards
Having the full set drafted gives me a complete framework to work with, and makes the next phase—playtesting and balancing—far more productive.

There’s still plenty of work ahead in terms of refining the rules and ensuring everything is balanced, but getting all of the components finished is a big step forward.
Ironclads of Ferrosia – A Pirate Supplement
I’ve also been working on a Pirate-themed supplement for Ironclads of Ferrosia.
The rules for this are now largely complete in draft form, covering the core ideas and mechanics needed to bring that style of gameplay into the system.
The main remaining work is on the design side—specifically creating new 3D printable ship files to support the supplement on the tabletop.

A couple of early 3D test prints for the Pirate supplement, still some work to do on these.
These are still in the development stage, but it’s always satisfying to start seeing the physical side of a project come together, I will post more pictures as these ships get closer to being ready.
Looking Ahead
So while things may have seemed quiet from the outside, it’s really been a period of steady and meaningful progress across several projects.
The next steps will be focused on playtesting, refinement, and getting more of this material into a form I can start sharing properly.
Hopefully next time I’ll have even more to show rather than just talk about—but for now, things are definitely moving in the right direction.
Come on over to the Little Wargaming Worlds Discord Server to see any updates about these projects and chat about them and any of my other games, you will find the link on this site under the Community Tab.
Very good! Excited to see these projects coming along.
Thanks mate.
