I have been working hard on a new futuristic pod racing game, the game will feature racers that hover! and go really fast.
I needed to get some racers put together because the card counters I was using to playtest were great, but I wanted proper racers for pictures so I have been slowly working on four to start with.
These are just a selection of vehicles that I hadn’t yet used for The Last Drifters, the first thing I did was remove all their wheels as they wouldn’t be needing them in the game.
I then printed out some thrusters, these are just really simple things I quickly design and printed out, I did one design for all the ‘Hover’ thrusters, and also used them on two of the cars as main thrusters for the rear.
I then printed out two different shaped ones for the rear on another car and then used the caps off of two super glue tubes for the rear thrusters.
I also printed out one or two other little bits to stick on the cars as maybe engines etc., to all of this I added a few wires and some very thin plastic sheet as extra panels.
Next up was to add them to shortened flying bases mounted on some thick plastic card as the main base.
So this is how they look so far.
Next thing to do to these will be to add some paint, not 100% sure how to do them yet, but I will have a look on the internet to see if I can get some inspiration.
