The seas of Ferrosia have never been safe, but in recent months they have become far worse.
Merchant losses continue to rise along the western routes, with entire convoys disappearing without trace. Those few ships that stagger back to port tell grim tales of blackened hulls stitched together from scavenged armour, brutal ram-prows wrapped in chains, and strange vessels that vanish beneath the waves before striking from below.
At first, the Admiralty dismissed these stories as panic and exaggeration.
They were wrong.
Piracy has returned to the Seas of Ferrosia in force.
Not as scattered bands of raiders, but as organised fleets built from stolen ships, salvaged wrecks, and patched-together warships that should have sunk long ago. These vessels are ugly, brutal, and unpredictable — but no less deadly for it.
The upcoming Pirates Supplement for Ironclads of Ferrosia will bring these outlaw fleets to the tabletop, introducing a whole new way to fight on the seas.
Captains will be able to command a range of pirate vessels, including fast raiders designed for hit-and-run attacks, heavy ramships built to smash enemy hulls apart at close range, and even dangerous pirate submersibles that can strike unseen before disappearing beneath the waves once more. These are just a few of the new Pirate ships that will be in the new supplement.
But pirates are more than just warships.
This supplement will also introduce new rules focused on salvage, plunder, and survival. Pirate captains do not fight for king or country — they fight for profit, reputation, and whatever they can take by force.
New scenarios will reflect this, with convoy ambushes, desperate escapes, and brutal boarding actions all becoming a bigger part of the game.
Below are some of the ships currently under construction for the supplement.
I got an Ai to show what these new ships might look like painted and ready for a game.
Note: the Ai has added few tiny extras here and there, mainly lots of rivets which are not on my actual models, although they do look good so I may have to look at adding some.

Each vessel tells its own story — battle damage covered by crude iron plating, and hulls held together by little more than desperation and greed.
No two pirate fleets are ever truly alike.
What kind of pirate fleet would you command?
Yet even as the pirate threat grows, another shadow is appearing on the horizon.
Reports have begun filtering in from the eastern sea lanes of strange warships unlike any known design. Ships fitted with long outriggers to their hulls, built for speed and stability in the roughest waters.
Faster and more agile than other ships.
And carrying weapons no nation has yet identified.
They are believed to be from the Coral Isles, but not much else is known about them.
All that is known is their arrival may change the balance of power across Ferrosia forever.
For now, only a glimpse can be offered…

The seas of Ferrosia are changing.
